The first book I read in FOURTEEN years was We Were Liars. Although I didn't hate it, it left me wanting more. I was searching Booktok, quite obsessively, for book recs because honestly, I just didn't know what I enjoyed anymore. And then one day, I saw a post about a book that was like if Harry Potter was adult and more ruthless and I immediately said yes. Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti changed my life with Zodiac Academy and I firmly secured my FYP to Booktok. ZA opened my eyes to all the things I now live for when reading. Fantasy, romance, enemies to lovers, fated mates, magic systems, SPICE.

It did take some time, but I was finally convinced to read A Court Of Thorns And Roses. And once again my world changed. I spent the next year reading so many amazing stories, finding more characters I saw myself in, more worlds I longed to be in, more tropes to make me fall in love, all while diving deeper into community of Booktok.

Stardust and Moonlight was a shop idea I had long before I had even thought about opening a book. I wanted to create a space that felt like me. Somewhere that felt free and like magic. That had this badass edge, but could also be delicate. Launching it never felt right, I tried once before, with handmade jewelry, but just couldn't commit to it. My heart wasn't 1000% into it. It wasn't until I saw Marisa from Acrylipics talk about how she got licensed with Sarah J. Maas to sell licensed bookish merch that it hit.

This. This is what Stardust and Moonlight was meant to be. If my shop was a trope it would be grumpy x sunshine. I felt more inspired than I ever had before and emailed designs to SJM and her team asking permission to sell licensed merch and on June 15, 2022 I launched the first Acotar collection. 5 months later, I announced I was officially licensed with the Twisted Sisters and added Zodiac Academy merch to the shop. It's been the most amazing journey ever since. Every order I've made and shipped means everything to me and my small business. It's literally wild to think hundreds of people have placed orders with me and I have thousands of internet besties that support me. I feel truly Cauldron Blessed. I cannot thank you enough for giving me space in the bookish community and I'm so excited to share with you what's all to come.
